COSS/PIC
At CML we are looking for a Supervisor who holds COSS / PIC competency to work on the Network Rail and Rail infrastructure contracts, within our established Buildings team.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Supervisor at CML, you will be responsible for ensuring your team are always following appropriate procedures and instructions, promoting and displaying safe working behaviours on site.
Within the role you can also expect to be:
- Undertaking all construction duties as directed, including but not limited to: General building work, De-vegetation, supervising of subcontractors
- Ensuring all vehicles, materials, tools and plant equipment under your control are fit for use and are used, stored and disposed of correctly, with any defects being reported immediately to Health & Safety and Management
- Correctly using and maintaining all PPE provided and making requests for any replacements where needed
- Discussing all aspects of your work with your team to understand where you feel safety and delivery can be improved
- Mentoring General Operatives and less experienced team members in work tasks
- Creating and administering site paperwork as directed, for daily and weekly submissions to Head Office
You will work on the Eastern Reactive & Small Schemes Framework for Network Rail undertaking railway building maintenance work, working both on or near the line as well as High St environment conditions.
Teamwork is key in delivering our works effectively, therefore when you aren’t required to use your daily skills / trades on the job, you will be expected to undertake other reasonable duties to ensure collaboration in meeting deadlines.
Person Specification:
The perfect candidate will have:
- Experience in working within a customer facing environment
- PTS – Essential
- COSS – (Or have relevant experience and be prepared to undertake COSS competence)
- Experience in general construction in Civil Engineering and Rail sector – Essential
- The ability and willingness to work unsociable hours as required – Essential
- SSSTS/SMSTS - Highly Desirable
- Advantageous qualifications and experience in: CSCS, PASMA, IPAF, First Aid, small tools, de-vegetation, drainage, plant operator, confined spaces
